Outdoor Kitchens, Fire Features & Showers
Outdoor kitchens, fire features and outdoor showers designed for Florida weather, with gas, water and electrical work by licensed partners.
Overview
An outdoor kitchen, fire pit or outdoor shower works when it is planned like an interior space: with a layout, utilities, ventilation and materials chosen for its conditions. Outdoors in Florida, those conditions include sun, rain, humidity and, near the coast, salt air – which affects every material from cabinet boxes to fasteners.
We design outdoor kitchens and features as part of the patio, lanai or pool area, coordinating gas, water, drainage and electrical work with the masonry, countertops and finishes so the result is safe, durable and easy to use.

- Owners who entertain outdoors and want a summer kitchen near the pool or lanai

How pricing works
Outdoor kitchens and features are priced per project, based on the layout, island construction and finishes, appliance and fixture selections, and the gas, water, drainage and electrical runs from the house. The distance to utilities often affects cost as much as the kitchen itself.
When an outdoor kitchen is built with a new lanai, pool or patio, it is priced within that project’s budget.
What changes the cost
- Size and layout of the kitchen
- Appliance package and refrigeration
- Cladding and countertop materials
- Distance and routing for gas, water, drainage and electrical
- Covered location requiring a hood and clearances
- Fire feature type and fuel
- Shower enclosure and finishes
If this work is part of a larger project, it’s priced within that project’s budget — please don’t add separate estimates together. Read the pricing guide.

Questions & answers
Can I put a grill under my covered patio?
Often, but it needs proper clearances to combustibles and usually a vent hood. The grill manufacturer’s requirements and local codes govern this, and we design to both.
Which materials hold up near the coast?
Salt air corrodes many metals. Higher-grade stainless steel, sealed stone or porcelain, and corrosion-resistant fasteners and hardware perform better, along with regular cleaning.
Where does outdoor shower water go?
It depends on the site and local requirements. Options include connection to the house drain, a dry well or planted areas. We review the options for your property during design.
